Q: Does it hurt?
A: To ensure our patients are as comfortable as possible, before microblading, a topical numbing cream is applied, and a second local anaesthetic is used throughout the treatment to minimize any discomfort.
Q: Am I a candidate for microblading?
A: A good candidate for microblading is someone who may have thinning eyebrows, or someone who doesn’t want to wear makeup to have fuller more defined eyebrows.
Q: How long does it take?
A: Microblading takes approximately 2-3 hours for your first visit, and touch ups take 1 hour.
Q: What will I look like right after microblading?
A: Immediately after your treatment, your new eyebrows will be very bold in colour and look slightly swollen, and the surrounding skin may be a bit lighter from the anaesthetic. This swelling improves over the next 1-2 days and the bold colour will fade a few shades once the crusted pigment has sloughed off, after approximately 7-10 days.
Q: How long is the healing time?
A: After microblading, you will have mild soreness, crusting and itching, that improves over 7-10 days. We will provide a detailed after care form which will explain exactly how to care for your brows and an aftercare balm to ensure healthy healing.
Q: How long does microblading last?
A: Microblading generally last between 12-18 months. Some factors will affect the length of time between touch ups such as: skin type, sun exposure, active ingredients used around the eyebrows and commitment to aftercare.
